ProsPlex The prostate is a doughnut shaped gland located behind the pubic bone and below the bladder in males. It surrounds the neck of the bladder and the urethra, a small tubular structure that drains urine from the bladder to the penis. The prostate gland is a common site of disorders in the male genitourinary system. As men age, their prostate gland often enlarges.
